Welcome to the SD64 Middle Years blog!
I've started this blog to attempt to keep information relating to Middle Years teaching in a central place. Right now it has information on upcoming District workshops, information on the DART (District Assessment for Reading), First Steps in Math, and Outdoor or Nature-Based Learning. Let me know if you would like to see anything else on this blog and I'll do my best!
A couple of things I am working on right now are connecting teachers interested in outdoor learning, assisting teachers administer, mark, and plan their reading program using the DART, and offering to train teachers in a program called "First Steps in Math" (or FSiM).
I would also love the opportunity to work with teachers to plan, teach (or team teach), and reflect on new lessons, strategies, or ideas in the classroom (or out of the classroom!). Please let me know if you are interested!
